Minnesota teenager making social media video shot 5-year-old: Police

While attempting to make the video, police said at some point the 13-year-old shot the 5-year-old. Investigators also determined the teen had shot the child by accident.

Brooklyn Park Police Deputy Chief Mark Bruley told CBS Minnesota the incident took place inside the garage of a home, and adults were present at the home. Investigators are unsure if anyone was supervising the children and how they obtained the gun.

4-year-old accidentally shoots, kills 2-year-old brother after mistaking gun for toy

PIX11

It’s not yet clear how the 4-year-old boy had access to the weapon, which he fired Tuesday morning, striking his 2-year-old brother

The only way to stop a bad toddler with a gun is a good toddler with a gun.

And then there’s this gem:

Neighbor Linda Eddy told WTVR she’s known the Aponte family for more than a decade.

“There’s no way they would leave a loaded gun out,” she said. “They’re good people, good Christians good people, they take care of their children [and] make sure they have everything they need.”

The kid needed a toy. The parents provided a toy.

Also, I’m not sure if these parents are good Christians for church attendance or going to hell for reckless endangerment. But they are a working class example of Darwinism.

Teacher accidentally fires gun in classroom, students injured

KSBW

Dennis Alexander was teaching a course about gun safety for his Administration of Justice class when his gun went off at 11 a.m.

Irony incarnate.

Also, “went off” is a wonderful euphemism. Did Doofus pull the trigger of a loaded gun in a classroom full of students? No. The gun “went off”. Because guns don’t kill people, teachers kill people.

No one suffered “serious injuries.” One 17-year-old boy suffered moderate injuries when fragments from the bullet ricocheted off the ceiling and lodged into his neck.

The only thing that can stop a bad teacher with a gun is a good teacher with a gun.

Child finds gun, fires shot in Ikea

WISHTV Fishers, IN

An Ikea customer sat down on a couch, where his firearm fell out of his pants and got lodged in the piece of furniture. He got up from the couch and continued to walk around the store without realizing his gun was gone, according to Sgt. Tom Weger with Fisher Police Department.

I can completely relate with wanting a gun to deal with Ikea customers.

Kids sat down on the same couch, found the gun and one of them pulled the trigger, firing a shot but not injuring anyone, Weger said.

The only thing that can stop a bad kid with a gun is a good kid with a gun.

Weger added that now is the time for parents to talk about what steps to take if a child finds a gun.

In other words, “The current generations of adults have failed you, kids. Gun safety is your responsibility, now”
